Departs at the interludes
Of contradiction

Failed recognition
Of autogenous karma
We own by default

Absurdness is the
Futile analysis of
Right or wrong maxims

All disharmony
Originates from Human
Driven recklessness

Love and Peace become
Arrogant euphemisms
Bounded by insults

Such are the wages
Of drum beating egos lost
In their own renown

Why do Human Beings continue to expand the capacity to kill each other, and then do precisely that? Why does the Human Species engage in, or fail to prevent, the brutalization of its own children? What drives the obsession for the Human Species to degrade and destroy Nature?

Ultimately, the Human Species must explore a disturbing point of clarity: the paradox confronting Human Beings is the struggle to navigate through the perpetual conflict of protecting ourselves from each other. In the process, there is no measurable improvement to the Human condition or any other condition. The absurdity of Human existence is the acceptance of these circumstances as an unalterable and unavoidable aspect of life.

  1. Your writing is deep and when I read some of your posts a few times, I found different layers of understanding. Thanks for your follow. Truly honoured

  2. There is no shortage of analogies that people can attempt to align with spiritual effort. To answer the question of “new” requires that an individual reach the complete comprehension of the energetic structure of Unconditional Love. The purpose of the Human Species is to evolve the force of Unconditional Love from the potential state to the expressed state. That is the only “new”, and most important, dimension available to the Human Species. Otherwise, nothing will change in Human-to-Human and Human-to-Nature relationships.

  3. The paradox you propose reminds me of Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, incarnations of God to create, preserve, and destroy, respectively. So how can anything under the sun be new and everlasting?

  4. Hi, Lisa….

I miss posts of others, also. Haven’t figured out why 😉

Your comments are sincerely appreciated and meaningful given your own deep perceptions of spirituality. The path towards Love and Peace requires all of us to “co-create” the conditions that will sustain us as a species. Thank you for sharing your thoughts <3

  5. I have been (and still am, apparently) following you, and yet somehow I have missed these last few posts. Interesting…

Still, I wanted to let you know that I love the new format; the deeply thought provoking poem followed by a brief, yet equally intense, discussion of the topic. It adds a whole new depth to the experience without taking anything away, as often happens when a poet attempts to “explain” their inspiration for a particular piece…

As for this poem, and its discussion of human interaction (so oppositional today), I can only say that I am reminded of the definition of insanity which states, “insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, yet expecting different results.” We, as a species, are truly insane, but since we are also co-creators of our shared reality, we may also maintain hope that change can occur, in spite of the seeming sameness of our oppositional interaction. Why? Because it is the most vocal among us who most greatly influence our reality, and those who love and desire peace may yet find their voices…

You, sir, are one of the latter; therefore my hope is justified…
