Our encounters occur in
subsets of parallel
experiences, as qualia
of inner perspectives.
I observe your humanness
and your color, your
race and culture, unique
influences occurring
simultaneously in 
my consciousness. Am I 
biased against all or 
certain attributes of your    
“you-ness” that would
negate my appreciation of
you? Not to worry. 
                    Your “right to be” is in safe
                    hands with me….unless.
Threats of duplicity.
When conversing with a
woman, do I violate her body
with covert visions in my
thoughts? Am I orchestrating
a fantasy while nodding 
politely to her words? Do I
desire any and all of she?
                     Am I attracted to only 
                     her parts?
I’ll marry for her breasts or
legs, acting out my nuptial vows 
until a younger pair happens
along—never mind the collateral
harm. It’s an acquired taste.
Absurdities of a recurrent
Our biases cause us to
reject, or barely feign respect,
when our inner distortions
lay us bare.
                     Or shall we be greater than
                     the liars?
